Sandra Brown, RN, IBCLC

Sandra grew up on a dairy farm and now lives on the farm that her husband grew up on, and where they raise sheep. Her farming background has given her an admiration of how our bodies work efficiently and an appreciation for appropriate interventions when needed. The passion to support parents began with the birth of her first child. She has been a nurse since 2003 and a lactation consultant since 2012. She is one of the founders of the Lawrence County Breastfeeding Coalition and formed a New Moms’ Group where she provides community-based support for new families. The more Sandra learns from working with parents in the perinatal period, the more she realizes there is for her to learn. She believes each family is incredibly special and unique. Sandra joined Milk Matters in 2023.
