Milk Matters Clinics
Get your infant feeding questions answered and meet other parents in a welcoming group setting.
In Person
Every Saturday, 1-3 pm, at the Boys & Girls Club of Bloomington Lincoln Street Club located at 311 S Lincoln Street, Bloomington, IN. Free parking lot next to the building. One block from the Bloomington Transit Center for all city bus routes. Masks may be required and will be provided.
Virtual
Every Saturday, 1-3 pm, via Zoom. Must register in advance by 5pm Friday. Send an email to milkmattersbloomington@gmail.com or a Facebook message to receive a new registration link each week.
Milk Matters does not offer phone support; help is only available at our in-person or virtual meetings on Saturday afternoons. If you need to talk with someone about a question or concern outside of our meeting times, please contact a local La Leche League leader, a lactation consultant at IU Health or a WIC peer counselor or lactation consultant if you are part of the WIC program in your county. If you have concerns about your health or the health of your baby, please contact your medical care providers.

IU Health Bloomington Outpatient Obstetrics services offers in-person consultations with an IBCLC. Call 812-918-3400 to schedule an appointment.

USDA’s Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children has peer counselors, lactation consultants, and dieticians to help families by phone and in person, who meet income requirements in their home counties. Some counties have breastfeeding support groups that any community member may attend, not just those enrolled in WIC.

Tandem in Bloomington, IN, has classes, support groups, donated supplies, doulas, and resources for pregnancy and beyond.

The Mom’s Group is a peer support group for breastfeeding moms and other interested moms for sharing and learning from each other. This group shares information and resources about breastfeeding, infant feeding, and care of moms and babies. Babies and small children are welcome. The group meets on the 2nd Tuesday of every month, 10-11:30am. Meeting locations may vary. See Facebook “Moms Group Lawrence County” for meeting location.

The Milk Bank, located in Indianapolis, IN, can help you receive pasteurized donor human milk or become a milk donor. The Milk Bank also provides a bereavement program for parents experiencing loss.
